The BK7520 is a Bus Coupler designed for SERCOS II networks. It connects Beckhoff Bus Terminals to the SERCOS fiber optic bus system. One unit consists of a bus coupler, 1 to 64 terminals, and an end terminal. With K-Bus extension technology, up to 255 terminals can be connected. The coupler automatically detects connected terminals and maps their inputs/outputs to the process image. SERCOS is an open fieldbus system standardized under IEC 61491, widely used in drive technology. BK7520 supports data rates of 2/4/8/16 Mbaud and fiber optic transmission up to 40 m between stations.
